MISS ALMA E. YOUNG - Submitted by L. Morgan
The Angel of Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Young, near Blanche, the evening of January 7th, 1900, and took from them their eldest daughter, Alma Ethel, aged about ten years.
Her death was a shock to the entire neighborhood, she having been sick only a short time. Little Alma was a very pretty child, of a sweet and gentle disposition, a general favorite with her schoolmates and dearly beloved by all who knew her. The last hours of her sickness she seemed to realize that death was near and told her mamma so, making several requests indicating intelligence of one far beyond her years. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the parents and relatives in their sad bereavement.
The remains were laid to rest in the Bunker Hill cemetery.
