David L. Mullendore, farmer and rancher, was born near Franklin,
Indiana, January 27, 1873, son of John and Mary E. (Robinson)
Mullendore. He received a common school education and upon
reaching maturity became a farmer and cattle breeder.
His marriage to Mettie Blanch Killam was solemnized at Howard,
March 1, 1896, and to them two children were born, Claud Harold, July
23, 1898, who married Helen Ames, and B. Noel, Spetember 5, 1901, who
married Phillis DePew.
Mr. Mullendore in addition to his land and cattle holdings,
engages in banking and in the oil business. He is a member of the
Commercial Club, the Christian Church and the Masons, (32nd degree,
Scottish Rite, Midian Temple of the Shrine). His favorite sport
is hunting.
A Democrat, he served as a representative from the 48th district
of Kansas in the legislative sessions of 1927, 1929 and 1931. Mr.
Mullendore is chairman of the Federal Relief Committee of Elk County
and is extremely active in all good road work.
