Transcribed from Mr. G. Herman Guy's Cemeteries in Chautauqua County, Kansas
The Ozro Falls Cemetery is located in S28 - T34 - R9 in Harrison Township. It is approximately one mile north of the village of Hewins and a mile west. The cemetery is actively used today. Through its history it has been called the "Brown", the "Holroyd" or the "Gordon" Cemetery. There is a legible sign along the Hewins/Wauneta road that tells you about the cemetery. The first burial was that of Ida G. Brown who died 3 Mar 1873. The cemetery is easily accessible and is quite well maintained. Mr. Joe Leonard read this cemetery in 1982 and I, G. Herman Guy, re-read it in Nov. 1984. As is true in each cemetery there are many graves unmarked or with non-legible stones.
Lines denoted by **** are names from obituaries that have been added to Mr. Guy's list. The names are links to the obituary.
If you have an obit of a person either listed or unlisted and would like to share it with others, I would be happy to post the obit and link to it. DET
