Transcribed from Mr. G. Herman Guy's Cemeteries in Chautauqua County, Kansas

To make room for Hulah Dam and the back waters, two small cemeteries were moved several years ago. The new site is on a hill just north of Boulanger, Oklahoma. In the one cemetery were buried primarily two families: Boulanger and Revlett. This was the Boulanger—Revlett Cemetery. The Revlett family took most of their family members to Pawhuska, OK. The Boulanger family stayed with the new site. The other small cemetery was located 2-3 miles east off the present village. The Boulanger Cemetery has a fence around it. It is painted and well kept. Outside that fence and in the NW corner are the remains of the other small cemetery.

To find this cemetery go south of Sedan, Kansas on highway #99 to Chautauqua. Continue south on the same highway crossing the state line and then a double bridge across the Caney River. Shortly after that bridge is a turnoff to the right and the sign says “Elgin”. Go west about 1 mile to a dead—end and that is the village of Boulanger, OK. Turn north on the black top and go north over a hill and there sits this pretty little cemetery. It is well marked and is right beside the black top road. The cemetery is maintained by family contributions of money and work

If you have an obit of a person either listed or unlisted and would like to share it with others, I would be happy to post the obit and link to it. DET
